Okeanis Ltd was founded in 2001 by Malloudis Ioannis and his sons with a focus on manufacturing floating booms for marine and coastal protection. Their innovative technical approach has led them to develop a built-in system that provides flexibility in the final product’s design and specifications, allowing them to adapt to each project’s requirements and budget to achieve maximum goals. As a result, Okeanis can provide reliable customized products and solutions, specializing in floating debris barriers, seaweed and algae barriers, jellyfish protection nets, and demarcation for boats and jet skis.<\/div>\n
The story of Okeanis began in the late 90s when Mr. Malloudis Ioannis identified a business opportunity to combine his interest in marine environmental activities with his technical and practical skills. The marine environment was heavily polluted with plastic litter and seaweed blooms, and the common oil and debris containment barriers and netting barriers being used were not efficient or durable enough to withstand the weather conditions and the pollution.<\/div>\n[\/gt3_custom_text][\/vc_column_inner][\/vc_row_inner][gt3_custom_text text_color=”#737d84″ font_size=”16″]This realization triggered the design of a different floating system that would be specifically designed for debris and seaweed containment and would be superior in effectiveness and durability. The challenge to manufacture this floating system was addressed, and the Okeanis foundation was finally achieved.<\/p>\n

The following years saw the lifting of the production line, and the company developed a high engineered method that would be productive and capable of providing flexibility to manufacture a wide range of qualitative products with different characteristics and specifications. Today, Okeanis is recognized as a world leader in the manufacturing of floating debris barriers, designing and manufacturing a wide range of debris boom, seaweed booms, jellyfish protection nets, demarcation-jet ski barriers, and customized floating systems at the highest quality standards. The effectiveness, performance, stability, durability, wave response, flexibility, elasticity, and tension distribution are some of the attributes and characteristics provided with their systems.<\/p>\n
